1. Who We Are
My Share ("we", "us", "our") is a personal finance planning app for Android. Our privacy contact email is edylson_frederico@outlook.com.
This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how we protect it, how long we keep it, and your rights over it.
2. Information We Collect
Account & Authentication
- When you sign in with Google through Firebase Authentication, we receive your name, email address, Google profile photo URL, and a Firebase user ID.
- If you use a local-only account, authentication data is not sent to us.
Financial Planning Data
- Your income, fixed costs, savings goals, allocation percentages, and check-in logs that you voluntarily enter into the app.
- For signed-in users, this data is stored in Cloud Firestore (Google Firebase) and associated with your user account. In local-only mode, planning data stays on your device unless you later choose to sign in and sync it.
- We do not sell financial planning data, and we do not use salary, bills, goals, allocations, debts, or check-in values for advertising targeting.
Usage & Analytics
- We use Firebase Analytics to collect app activity such as onboarding steps completed, features used, ad eligibility, ad impressions, subscription funnel events, and session activity. Analytics events do not include your financial figures.
- We use Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports and stack traces to improve stability. Crash reports may include device model, OS version, and app state at the time of the crash.
- We use Firebase Performance Monitoring to measure app responsiveness.
- We use Firebase Remote Config to control product settings such as onboarding variants, paywall variants, and ad kill switches.
Advertising
- For eligible free users, we display ads via Google AdMob after the first salary plan has been created and shown. Ads can include anchored banners, native sponsored cards, app-open ads, interstitial ads after completed actions, and opt-in rewarded ads.
- AdMob may collect and share IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information, Android Advertising ID, app set ID, and other device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention.
- AdMob may use IP address to estimate approximate location. Personalised ads depend on your consent where consent is required. Consent and privacy choices are managed through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP / Consent SDK).
- Ads are never shown during onboarding, on the first plan result, in paywall or purchase flows, on salary/allocation input screens, on goal/rule edit forms, in reminder permission flows, while the keyboard is active, or from notification reminder deep links.
- Premium subscribers and trial users do not see ads while their entitlement is active.
Subscriptions & Purchases
- Subscription transactions are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not store your payment card details. We receive a purchase token and subscription status from Google Play, which is verified server-side via Firebase Cloud Functions.
Push Notifications
- If you opt in to reminders, we use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send notification tokens to our backend. No financial data is included in push notifications.
3. Google Play Data Safety Summary
For the Google Play Data Safety section, My Share collects or shares the following data types depending on your choices and app state:
- Approximate location: estimated from IP address by advertising and platform services.
- Personal info: name, email address, and user IDs when you sign in.
- Financial info: purchase history and other financial information you enter, such as salary, bills, goals, allocations, and review values.
- App activity: app interactions, screens, feature usage, ad events, and other in-app actions used for app functionality, analytics, advertising measurement, and product improvement.
- App info and performance: crash logs, diagnostics, app launch time, latency, and performance information.
- Device or other IDs: Android Advertising ID, Firebase installation ID, app set ID, FCM token, and related device or app identifiers.
All user data sent from the app is encrypted in transit. Users can request deletion of account data as described below.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and sync your budget plan across sessions.
- To verify subscription entitlements and unlock premium features.
- To send check-in reminders you have configured.
- To improve app stability and performance using aggregated analytics.
- To display, cap, measure, and troubleshoot ads for eligible free users.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized backend access.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, use your financial figures for advertising, or share your data with third parties except as described in Section 5.
5. Third-Party Services
My Share relies on the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:
- Google Firebase — Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, FCM, Remote Config, Performance, App Check, Hosting, and Cloud Functions
- Google AdMob & UMP — Advertising, consent management, ad analytics, and fraud prevention for eligible free users
- Google Play Billing — Subscription processing and purchase status
We do not integrate with any other analytics, marketing, or data brokers.
6. Data Retention
- Account & Firestore data: Retained while your account exists and for 30 days after deletion to allow recovery.
- Analytics & Crashlytics: Aggregated event data is retained for up to 14 months per Google's standard retention.
- Advertising data: AdMob and UMP retain advertising, consent, and diagnostic data according to Google's policies and your consent choices.
- Purchase records: Purchase tokens and entitlement state are kept as long as needed to provide Premium, resolve billing issues, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.
- Local-only data: Stored in your device's shared preferences and removed when you uninstall the app.
7. Your Rights & Account Deletion
Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EU/EEA under GDPR and California under CCPA), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Data portability.
- Withdraw consent for personalised advertising at any time via app settings.
To delete your account and all associated data, go to More → Account → Delete Account in the app, or email edylson_frederico@outlook.com. We will process your request within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
My Share is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, Firebase Security Rules, App Check, and server-side subscription verification to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. Significant changes will also be communicated via an in-app notice.
